Thai Street Noodles

Thai Street noodles, Pad see ew - no matter how you say it means stir-fried with soy sauce.


This is a standard lunch fare among Thais and is found on many street carts in Bangkok. It takes approximately 20 minutes to make. You can find many variations of this receipt in most any Thai cook book. This receipt can was based on one from Quick & easy Thai Cuisine - Lemon Grass Cookbook



Main Ingredients

½ - 1 lb of Chicken or Beef


1 bag of rice flake noodles


1 cup of broccoli or small head



Marinade


1 clove of garlic


1 egg


1 tbsp corn starch


1 tbsp rice wine


1 tbsp fish sauce


1 tbsp oyster sauce


1 tbsp sugar


1 tsp sesame oil


½ tsp white pepper



Sauce


1 tbsp fish sauce


1 tbsp oyster sauce


1 tbsp sugar


1 tbsp sweet soy sauce





Method


Gather Batter ingredients

Soak rice noodles in hot water for a 15 -20 minutes until soft

Slice the chicken into bite size pieces

Chop the broccoli

Make the marinade

First mince the garlic

Combine all Marinade ingredients in bowl and mix

Combine Chicken with marinate and let stand for 10 -20 minutes

Get ready to make the magic happen

Gather all your ingredients next to your wok

Heat 2 tbsp of oil

Fry Chicken until done

Add rice noodles

Add Broccoli

Add Sauce and fry until evenly coated. Be gentle to avoid mashing the noodles
